Clay Morrow

You may recognize Ron Perlman from some big name movies, but in Sons of Anarchy he is seen as the selfish president of Samcrow who eventually lets his selfishness get the best of him.

Clay Morrow- Sons of Anarchy In the beginning the show Clay Morrow was seen as a somewhat like-able character who spoke highly of his old friend John Teller. But as the show progresses Clay's true personality comes out under certain stress and pressures. We witness Clay turn from a loving  husband of Gemma, to an abusive bully of Gemma. We see Clay's character turn twisted when Tig shares with Clay his suspicions of a betrayal by Opie. Clay and Tig decide to look into the matter and Tig discovers hidden microphones in Opie's truck and cell phone. Tig assumes Opie is working against the club for ATF now and immediately shares this news with Clay, who then instructs Tig to kill Opie. The night Tig follows Opie, Tig doesn't realize that Opie switched vehicles with his wife, and Tig ends up killing Opie's wife thinking it was him driving the truck. Once Clay is informed he hides this information and assures Opie they will find out who murdered his wife. Opie was devastated with the murder of his wife and we see Clay and Tig having a hard time with this. But did this change Clays mischievous ways? No. Later in the series we witness Clay morphing into an evil leader. After beating Gemma, members of the group start to question Clays authority of the group and start vouching for Jax to be the new president. Besides putting a hit on Tara for "knowing too much" about the club, Clay eventually ends up killing Piney in a cold blooded betrayal after secrets from the past are close to revealing Clay's true nature. Once Opie finds out Clay cowardly murdered his father, he also learns the truth about Donna and seeks revenge but is later talked out of it by Jax. Soon Clay's true nature is revealed to Jax in letters that Gemma gave to him from Maureen Ashby . The letters confirmed the truth about John Tellers death, which resulted in Jax swearing that he will kill Clay.
